Miles and miles of sandy beaches lie to the southwest of Corona. Swim or surf in the warm blue waters of the Pacific, take long walks along the beach to reflect, meditate in the sun, or engage in yoga to reap the maximum benefits of treatment, and plan a happy and successful life that awaits you.

The Caring Hands Rehabilitation center approach to treatment is all-encompassing and aims to identify and address the major causes and underpinnings of the substance abuse. We assist and empower clients to overcome them with sustainable, long-term personal tools. These include increasing a person’s sense of self-worth and adhering to individual interpersonal boundaries, as well as considering physiological and biological components. Of course, a client’s physical and emotional health is at the forefront when developing a treatment plan. Together, the treatment team and the individual will consider family history, potential environmental obstacles, medications, and past traumatic events that may play a role in the recovery process.

What Should I Expect to Happen in a Rehab Program?
Every patient receives drug rehabilitation treatment that has been specifically crafted with their needs and preferences in mind. But most treatments usually involve a combination of services, such as detoxification, substance abuse therapy on an individual and/or group basis, and education programs to help prevent relapses.
What is Detoxification?
Detoxification, or “detox” as it is often called, is a phase in the recovery process that occurs early on and plays an important role in the overall treatment. During this phase, you will eliminate substances from your body and the toxic influences they have upon you. Patients’ experiences during this phase of treatment can vary tremendously based on a number of factors, such as the type of substance abused and how often the substance was used. But you may suffer withdrawal symptoms that can be unpleasant or even dangerous. However, when detoxification is performed in a medically supervised program, treatment is provided to mitigate both the discomfort and the dangers that can be associated with withdrawal.
What Comes After Detoxification?
After detoxification is complete, next comes substance abuse therapy. Patients participate in a combination of individual and group therapy sessions to help them identify and correct underlying issues that have contributed to their substance abuse. Treatment also includes education to help patients recognize potentially risky situations that could trigger a relapse, and it will help them develop the skills to prevent relapses and sustain sobriety.
What is Aftercare Planning?
Near the end of a drug rehabilitation program, members of the facility work with patients to create an aftercare plan to ensure continued sobriety. This plan may include a combination of activities, such as support groups and therapy as well as living arrangements in a sober-living facility if they are deemed necessary.
